Wine Tasting in Grand Rapids/Silent Auction

Autotrader.com is hosting a Charity event to raise funds for St. Jude. St. Jude has been finding cures and saving lives of Children for over 50 years. There will be a silent auction, and wine tasting in Downtown Grand Rapids at "Eve" at the BOB. Tickets are 20.00 and is open to the public. I love this, it is worthy of posting. Look at this dramatic display with varieties of purples, pinks, with chandeliers, LOVE! I have to give credit where it's due: Floral fantasias created by Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris artistic director Jeff Leatham. Although a professional did this with many different types of flowers, votives and small various vases, it can be easily achieved. Going to your local market to purchase flowers of different colors and varieties, getting many different types of vases from your Dollar store, stack them, put flowers of different colors of pinks and purples, surround with votives and voila. The chandeliers need to be purchased and come in many different heights. These add so much drama to your centerpieces.

Well the big day came and went! Carl and Erin are now officially Mr. & Mrs. Carl and Erin Williams. Congratulations to one of the best couples I know. This experience has brought us so close as friends, and planning this event has been an honor. Rehearsal night turned out beautiful. I rented a private room for them at a local Kalamazoo restaurant, decorated the tables with a variety of shapes and sizes of vases, put white and red roses, along with white Gerber Daisy's inside the vases, along with floating white and red flower shaped candles. To add a bit more romance to the room, I pulled apart red and white roses and scattered along the tables around the centerpieces. Adding in more white votive candles, gave the room a glow, and a real romantic feel for the wedding couple. More pics to come, but here is a small sample of where the weekend began....

All in White

2 days! so I am hosting the rehearsal Dinner Friday night. I must admit, my stomach is swirling with a bit of anxiety, mixed with anticipation, nervousness, and because these are friends, a lot of EMOTION. I had no idea how much time I would spend with these two wonderful people, and get to be such close friends. I am biting my fingernails over this and can't sleep waiting for the big day. I don't think I was this nervous for my own wedding. I plan to do an all white Wedding rehearsal dinner. I am picking up fresh flowers of multiple variety, using candles to light up the room, along with some glass vases filled with water. For those do it your selfer's, (DIY), grab some clear vases, multiple shapes and styles, grab some floating candles, I have red and white for Friday(color of wedding) and some fresh flowers to submerge. A quick and affordable way for a beautiful decor, simple and elegant.

Erin and Carl's big day!

T Minus 4 days until a big wedding of Erin Sellers to Carl Williams! We have all worked so hard to make this day beautiful, successful, and meaningful to the Bride, Groom, family and friends. So far all has come through without any snags. Photos to come soon. I look forward to enjoying watching these two dedicate their lives to each other as husband and wife. I am so fortunate to have my 2 Daughters in the wedding as Flower Girls. What a privilege it's been to play such a vital role with these two great people. I can't wait to see how everything turns out on Saturday, I'm sure it will be absolutely beautiful. These two had such a great taste along the way with all their choices. I am preparing to write a toast for them. It's interesting choosing what kind of speech I will do. Sweet, sentimental, funny? so many choices. Photos coming soon!
